Reflective Inquiry is both a mindset and a practice. In this course, coaches explore how reflection, curiosity, and intentional inquiry work together to help clients slow down, make meaning, and access deeper self-awareness.
Through live demonstrations, peer coaching, and guided reflection, coaches practice using reflective inquiry across all phases of the coaching session—from establishing the coaching agreement, to deepening exploration, to supporting insight integration and client growth. Particular attention is given to working with silence and pause, using client language intentionally, and recognizing when reflection itself is the most powerful coaching intervention. Coaches also examine their own internal responses during sessions, strengthening their ability to remain present, curious, and grounded even when clients are navigating complexity or uncertainty.Â
Throughout the course, participants receive competency-based feedback and engage in reflective exercises that reinforce mastery of Maintains Presence, Listens Actively, Evokes Awareness, and Facilitates Client Growth. Coaches leave with a practical, repeatable framework for applying reflective inquiry in real client sessions, along with tools to deepen their own reflective practice as a professional coach—enhancing both the client experience and the coach’s confidence in their craft.Â
